Music Journal

The ISM Music Journal is a monthly bulletin, which reports the work of the society and its members, carries features on topics of professional interest, and summarises developments affecting musicians and their work.

Selected articles from each issue are published online and copies of the Journal can be found in most libraries.

The printed version of Music Journal is published on a monthly basis and costs £3.00 per issue. Subscribers receive 12 issues for £30.00. Please email Head Office for details or subscribe via our online order form.

Careers with Music

The ISM provides advice on careers in music to its members and can advise on a range of other business issues, for example, tax and insurance. We provide some advice on careers within the music industry to non-members too and this can be found on our careers page.

General guidance for those interested in a musical career is provided by our publication Careers with Music. This comprehensive booklet (only available to download online) explores the diverse opportunities available for musicians.
