


The ISM’s President for 2005-06 is the distinguished bass Robert Lloyd CBE
(North London). He took over from Professor George Caird
(Birmingham) at the annual
conference in Cambridge last month. The President Elect is the eminent
clarinettist Colin Bradbury (West London),
who will take over from Robert at next year’s annual conference in Brecon on
18-21 April 2006. Biographical details of the new President and President Elect
can be found in the media release announcing
the appointment.
The ISM’s new Specialist Section Wardens for 2005-06 are Carl Jackson
(South West London), Ian Mitchell
(South East London) and Anne Smillie
(Cambridge), who will chair the
Music in Education, Performers & Composers and Private Teachers Section
Committees respectively.
The Regional Councillors elected for 2005-08 are Liz Adams
(Wiltshire) – West Region; Susan
Grange (Nottingham) – East
Midlands Region; Dawn Elizabeth Howells
(North London) – North London Region; Kenneth H˙tch
(Norwich) – Eastern Region; Janet
Nicolls (North of England) –
North Region; and Jennie Selman (South West
London) – South London Region. Anthony Pigg
(Cambridge) was elected an Ordinary
Councillor for 2005-08.
