20 June 2005
Nicola Loughrey, the ISM’s Office Administrator for the last four years, left to work for the Gabrieli Consort & Players at the beginning of June. The vacancy was advertised in the musical press, and more than 100 information packs were sent out in reply to expressions of interest. Forty-four applications arrived, four of which were short-listed for tests and interviews.
Vicky Hunt has now been appointed as the ISM’s new Office Administrator. Vicky, who hails from Suffolk, graduated from Birmingham University in 2001 with a degree in music. From September 2001 to June 2002 she held sales positions in West End retail stores, before joining Chappells of Bond Street as a buyer/sales advisor. From January 2004 until now she has been hire librarian at Josef Weinberger Ltd. She therefore knows the West End well, and has a strong background in general administration, sales, finance, and dealing with musicians and the general public. Her leisure interests include going to concerts, opera, theatre and cinema, and singing with a local band and choir.
Vicky will be starting work at Head Office on Tuesday 2 August. She will be very welcome aboard the ISM.
